Vigo leads AIM advisor rankings for Oil & Gas

Vigo is pleased to report that it has been named the UK’s top-ranked financial PR adviser to the oil and gas sector in the AIM Adviser Rankings, January 2017.

The agency was ranked joint first place both in terms of number of AIM clients in the sector and outright first place in the combined market capitalisation of those clients, totalling over £1.5bn.

Vigo also continues to make significant progress in broadening its sector capabilities, building on its very strong offering in the technology, media, telecoms and healthcare sectors.

This was reflected in the agency’s top 10 ranking in the FTSE AIM 100 overall client rankings; as well as in healthcare, technology and consumer services. A raft of recent new business wins is expected to see Vigo climb higher in the technology sector rankings after an excellent start to 2017.

Patrick d’Ancona, Managing Director, commented: “This is great news for Vigo and demonstrates we can both retain the quality of our sector specialisms whilst also continuing to broaden our reach. Becoming the leading financial PR adviser to the AIM oil and gas sector is a tribute to the team’s dedication to our clients’ cause and we look forward to continuing our very close work with them throughout 2017.”

Premaitha hires Vigo for capital markets communications

Vigo is delighted to have been hired by Premaitha Health plc, the company enabling wide scale adoption of a safe, fast, accurate and complete CE Marked non-invasive prenatal screening system, to advise on capital markets communications.

Premaitha uses the latest advances in DNA analysis technology to develop safer and more accurate screening tests for pregnant women. Their IONA® test was launched in February 2015 and is the leading CE marked complete system which estimates the risk of a fetus being affected with Down’s syndrome and other genetic conditions. Unlike existing prenatal screening methods, due to its speed and high level of accuracy, the IONA® test can significantly reduce the number of women subjected to unnecessary invasive follow up diagnostic procedures which carry a risk of miscarriage.

The Premaitha account team is being led by Ben Simons and Fiona Henson.

“Premaitha is at the forefront of an emerging multi-billion pound market for non-invasive prenatal testing,” said Ben Simons, Director at Vigo. “Their leading CE marked system is gaining commercial traction around the world and Vigo is thrilled to be working with them at such an exciting time for their business.”
