Amazon’s emissions grew by 6% in 2024, the first time they have risen in three years, thanks to the construction of a resource-intensive data centre as well as fuel consumption by its delivery providers. Environmental watchdogs have raised concerns about the data centre boom due to their high electricity usage. Bloomberg reports on the news.
