BlackRock was once again a focus for this week’s stories with the Financial Times revealing that US investment funds withdrew over $13bn from BlackRock in a continuation of Republican-driven anti-ESG sentiment.

Elsewhere, the Wall Street Journal considers whether the ESG brand has had its best days and is now facing a slump in popularity. The percentage of newly created funds in the US and EU with ESG in their name has fallen from a peak of 8.3% in 2022 to just 3.3% in Q1 of this year.
